Water is everything and every thing needs water.
Yet, 663 million people lack access to any source of clean water. Waterborne diseases are the leading causes of death globally for children under the age of five, and half the patients in the world’s hospitals are suffering from diseases related to dirty water. Every 90 seconds a child dies from water related disease.
WE WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Since 2016, Paseo del Rey Church has walked alongside the people of rural Rwanda and 20Liters to make dirty water clean for vulnerable families. Over the past few years, the church has expanded our support by holding annual Walk for Water events, in addition to filter build events. Individual members of the community have also stepped up to the challenge of empowering families through access to clean water. Over the course of this partnership, the community has come together to build 1,400 SAM3 Household Filters and raise over $57,000 to support clean water initiatives. Through these efforts, your community has reached 7,000 people with access to clean water in rural Rwanda.
Help us make dirty water clean by making a gift today
Every $100 we can raise can provide clean water for 1 family for 10 years. Please consider giving towards this year's fundraising campaign. You can mail a check to Paseo del Rey Church (900 Paseo del Rey, Chula Vista, CA 91910) with 20Liters in the memo, or you can give online by clicking here.
We will be holding our annual Walk for Water awareness and fund raising event on Saturday October 24. We would love for you to join us for this short 5k walk and event. We will be meeting at Paseo del Rey Church at 8:30. For details and to register, click here.
