Isn't OUTFLOW over?
Back on October 9th, we concluded a Sunday morning teaching series entitled, “OUTFLOW: outward-focused living in a self-focused world.” “OUTFLOW” is a way of referring to the fact that God wants the love He pours into our lives to overflow into the lives of others – family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, fellow students, and people in the community and all over the world!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
Here’s a question… Now that the OUTFLOW series is over, does that mean we can go back to our self-focused lives? Of course not! So while the OUTFLOW sermon series may be over, our outward-focused lifestyle must continue on! Let’s pray that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, our daily lives (words and actions) will show God’s love to the people around us in practical ways.
There are an endless number of ways we can share the Good News about Jesus Christ with the people God puts in our path. We hope that the OUTFLOW series sparked some new thinking about how you can help others experience God’s love, grace, kindness and guidance.
Fall Festival is coming this Monday night, October 31st from 5-8pm. Please follow this link for more information about Fall Festival. It’s going to be a great night of fun for the whole family, but especially all the kids that will come and get to experience a fun, safe, caring and treat-filled evening!
Fall Festival provides lots of opportunity to OUTFLOW:
#1 – We hope you are planning to attend. And while you are at Fall Fest, stay on the lookout, watching for opportunities to OUTFLOW.
#3 – Your help is needed! If you don’t yet have a Fall fest “job” but are willing to volunteer, please email Fall Fest Coordinator Jessica Garcia – jessica @ paseodelrey.org
We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas about OUTFLOW… please leave a comment below!
What did God teach you through the OUTFLOW series? How has the Holy Spirit worked in you to OUTFLOW God’s love to others? Do you have an encouraging report to share?
