Discipleship_Classes_EventsNew Discipleship Class
John Dickinson will be leading a 5 week discipleship class on Sunday mornings beginning this Sunday, October 11 - November 8, exploring how to get the most from reading the Bible.  We will be looking at the first chapter of the book of Romans as we do so.  This is a live in-person class (no Zoom) and we will meet on the east side patio of Paseo del Rey Church at 8:30 a.m.  We will have folding chairs available but feel free to bring your own.  Masks are required.  Bring your Bible.  There is no charge for this class, but we'd like you to please register HERE.

WALK FOR WATER20 Liters Walk for Water and Filter Build - Saturday, October 24, 8:30 a.m. here at the church.

We are raising money, growing awareness, and building water filters for 20 Liters, an organization that provides clean drinking water for families in Africa!  As a church family we will be having a 5K walk, launching from Paseo del Rey Church's west side.  You can walk spaced out with the group, or walk on your own separately.  We are following Covid guidelines of social distancing and wearing masks.

Post-walk, around 9:30 - 9:45 a.m. on the Paseo del Rey Church's west lawn, we will team together, socially distanced, to build a portion of the filters.

Join us for both the walk and build or for just a part of the morning.  Either way, our aim is to be a blessing to those in need of clean water.  This Sunday at church, we will be handing out flyers that you can use to invite friends to join you! Each registration will include a Paseo/20 Liters bandana-style mask!

Thy Kingdom Come Website

We are continuing in our series on the Lord’s Prayer called Thy Kingdom Come: Covid, Race, and King Jesus. We are taking a deep look at the theology Jesus teaches us in the Lord’s prayer and how it applies to today’s circumstances and challenges. Please join me in praying for our study and asking the Lord to use his words to mold us into people who will see and respond rightly to the present day issues.

Neighborhood Initiative webThe Neighborhood Initiative - Several weeks ago we canvased this neighborhood just south of J street to help identify physical and social needs.  We have responded to one call and we are now visiting an elderly woman that requested some company to talk with on her porch.  If you'd like to join the rotating team of those visiting Delores once a week, please contact Mary in the church office at or call 619-421-7733.

Our message is simple, "neighbors care for one another, how can we care for you?"  As the needs arise, please be prepared and ready to volunteer talents, time, and resources to help love our Paseo neighbors in meaningful ways.
